Raven Diablo: Agent of Kali is my first novel. It’s the story of a modern day warrior woman doing battle against evil forces in the real Sin City, Las Vegas. Raven is ruthless, merciless and fearless. The ultimate Superbitch, Raven is a killer. Of course, no one dies who’s not supposed to.
Raven Diablo: Agent of Kali would be classified as urban fantasy. To be more specific, the novel is in fact a modern Wuxia tale. Wuxia (pronounced “wooshia”) is a 2000 year old Chinese genre best described as “heroic fiction”. Wuxia translates to “heroic chivalry” and focuses on the exploits of wandering martial artists that fight for justice. Wuxia heroes are much like other heroes in mythology and popular fiction, but with one striking difference. Wuxia heroes are often female.

Cryptic Roots is a musical project created by keyboardist/composer, Miko Montgomery. He describes it as “the musical love child of Miles Davis and Anne Rice, raised by Clive Barker, in an asylum/disco designed by H.R. Giger”. Cryptic Roots plays Acid Jazz and Regga-Delic. Acid Jazz is funk on the bottom and jazz on the top. Modern grooves mix with jazz themes and improvisation to create a very danceable style of jazz music. Regga-Delic mixes reggae rhythms with ambient keyboard colors. The result is a unique style of dance music that hypnotizes both mind and body.
